Find out more about Marc below…

1. How did you get started with CrossFit?
I started CrossFit in September of 2013 during my police academy. My PT instructor at the time wanted everyone to “drink the CrossFit Kool-Aid” so we did Fight Gone Bad (using burpees instead of a cal. Row) and Tabatas in addition to running in formation. After I completed the academy I joined CrossFit Phase II back home until I moved to the Framingham Area in 2015ish. After moving I joined CrossFit Union before it became Tilt II and I’ve been here ever since.

 2. If you could only do one CrossFit movement for the rest of your life, what would it be?
That’s an easy one. If it involves a pull-up bar with any pull-up variation or a bar muscle-up I’m in.

 3. What 3 things would you bring to a deserted island?
Hmmm well I’d definitely want a hammock and an endless supply of “adult beverages” on tap to stay hydrated (preferably a coffee stout or Night Shift’s Whirlpool). The last thing I’d bring is a bunch of puppies or sunscreen. The puppies would be a lot more fun, but I also burn wicked easily.

 4. Favorite workout/least favorite workout?
My favorite workout hands down is Murph for obvious reasons. Least favorite is a toss up between Grace and DT. Grace was the first benchmark WOD I did when I regularly started CrossFit and it didn’t go well. I actually still get really anxious every time it’s the posted WOD. DT just destroys my grip, which has always been one of my biggest limitations for workouts.

 5. If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I watch a ton of movies so this is actually a really tough question for me. If I had to choose it would probably be Hot Fuzz, or The Dark Knight. It’s impossible for me to choose just one, but these are the two I binge watch the most.

 6. What are 3 things we might not know about you?
Three things… well I earned a black belt in Taekwondo when I was younger, which explains my soldier kicks in warmups. I used to do distance running a lot before CrossFit which is why I enjoy running in workouts so much, so jog on! And I don’t know if this is really a surprise but I’m a diabetic so the biggest reason I do CrossFit regularly is so I can manage my blood sugar easier, and still eat doughnuts at work.
