Went 30/20/20/20/20 on the WBs. Probably should’ve used a 14#WB, but while I was running I did a little math and realized that 30 reps at 14# is basically 420 units of work, as compared to 20 reps at 20# being 400 units because the distances moved are the same. So although each individual round was less work, because I did the full set at the beginning I did I still did more work than using the 14# WB by about 5%. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Max gave a great little talk after yesterday’s noon class about building a calloused mind. Just like you build up callouses on your hands from pull-ups and barbell work and other things we do in the gym to make them tougher and more durable, each workout is also an opportunity to build a stronger, tougher, more calloused mind. I was thinking after today’s workout, especially with the added factor of the heat, everyone coming in today and hitting this workout for sure is taking a step towards building a more calloused mind! So cool to see everyone pushing themselves everyday to become stronger both physically and mentally!
