Workout Guidance
Today we have a ton of volume on all of our movements. We see calories, sit-ups, burpees, and kettlebell swings all the time; you guys are the best at these. The wild card here is the goblet squat. When someone does goblet squats at high volumes, they’re often surprised by how tired their mid and lower back get. While building fatigue in the lower back is not a bad thing (we need strong lower backs after all), we want to avoid an excessive pump as this can be uncomfortable and force us to slow down. Unfortunately for most of us, this may mean eating a bit of humble pie and using a lighter kettlebell to make the goblet squats more manageable. That’s okay; you guys have had plenty of pie, so you can afford to eat one more slice.
