TILT II Halloween Throwdown

When:
Saturday 10/30/21
Doors Open at 8:30 Workout goes down at 9:00!

Where:
You know where…TILT II Sudbury!

What:
9:00am-10:00am- Partner Workout with a Costume Contest
8:30-9:00 Doors Open/Warm Up Time
9:00-9:30 Partner Workout!
9:30-10:00 Clean Up/Costume Voting

10:00-10:30– Beer Mile!!!
(No it is not too early)

10:30-Crowning Beer Mile/Costume Contest Champions! 

10:45-12:00 (or when the last person leaves)- Trunk or Treat for the Kids/Pumpkin Carving/Hangout!

How:
Put your name down on the sign-up sheet at the front desk and we will do the rest! We will partner you up! It’s always good to meet and throw down with someone new!

FAQ:
Q: Can I bring my kids?
A: Yes! This is a kid friendly event (minus the beer mile, unless they have a valid fake ID). They can dress up in their costumes (we encourage this!), carve pumpkins, and trunk or treat!

Q: Do I have to do the Beer Mile?
A: Yes, do not show up if you are not going to participate in the beer mile….JUST KIDDING!! Want to participate but hesitant about doing the full thing? Grab some friends and team up!  Do it with seltzer, or even donuts if you want!

Q: What if I can only make it for the workout at the beginning or can’t make it till later?
A: Come on down! This is a fun community event, whether you can only make it for some of it or can attend the entire thing, we would love to have you!

Q: What if I have something else planned for that day?
A: This question is irrelevant, what could you possibly be doing better than this?! CANCEL IT! You do not want to have to live with the FOMO of the TILT II Halloween Throwdown!

September Athlete of the Month


Congrats to Jen Sarro on being our September Athlete of the Month!
  Jen is a quiet but consistent presence at our 5:30 AM class showing us that consistency really does pay off. Jen has made some huge improvements in her Olympic lifting work (even if it isn’t her favorite) and her gymnastics skills (just check out her toes to bar next time!). Modifying the workouts for where she’s is currently, but slowly increasing her strength and skills, that’s what it’s all about Jen! Get to know her a little more with a little Q&A below!

1. When did you first start at TILT?
Winter 2020.

2. What is your favorite food?
Omelettes 

3. If you could choose a walkout theme song, what would it be?
Breath of Life by Florence + the machine

 4. You just won a million dollars! What is the first thing you would purchase?!
A vacation home some place tropical. 

5. What is your favorite outdoor activity or hobby?
Running

6. What is your ideal vacation place?
Any place not working and with my family. 

7. If you had any advice to give someone thinking about trying TILT what would it be?
Have an open mind. If you workout, most movements you probably already do, you’re just applying speed and reps. 

8. If there was a workout named “Jen” what movements would we see in it?
Pretty much all cardio. Not a big fan of weights.

August Athlete of the Month

Congrats to Jay Summerfield on being our August Athlete of the Month!
  Besides being a great follow on Facebook with some dynamite posts Jay has a great mindset about fitness. Making each workout tailored to his goals and needs while working with the coaches so he’s always getting the most out of his hour in the gym. Get to know Jay a little more with a little Q&A below!

1. When did you first start at TILT?
I’ve been off and on over time, but I was originally a carry-over from CF Union which used to be in the same location (and Giorgio’s before that!), so I believe that goes back to 2017 when TILT first opened in Sudbury.

2. What is your favorite food?
Tough call, but I’d have to say Mexican – I have a raging taco-tooth!

3. If you could choose a walkout theme song, what would it be?
Probably Monkey Business by Skid Row

4. You just won a million dollars! What is the first thing you would purchase?!
The sickest hot tub you’ve ever seen

5. What is your favorite outdoor activity or hobby?
I enjoy a jog with a view, so a leisurely run on a trail through the woods, on the aqueduct, or along the beach is always nice.

6. What is your ideal vacation place?
Anywhere with an ocean-view

7. If you had any advice to give someone thinking about trying TILT what would it be?
Just Do It. The great thing about TILT is that it’s scalable to meet you at your level, wherever that is.

It might be tough at first but hang in there because it is worth it!!

TILT Fall Getaway!

TILT is going to Mount Abram!
When: Saturday, September 18th – Sunday September 19th
Where: Mount Abram – Greenwood, Maine (mtabram.com)
What: Join your TILT family at a weekend getaway to Mount Abram in Maine.
Mountain Biking, Food Trucks, Live Music, Bonfire, Camp Out, Morning Workout
Who: All TILT Members, Friends, and Family!
Cost: The only cost will be bike rentals ($30-$50) if you need them!
If you need a bike rental, please reserve your bike rental HERE in advance.
Free tickets for mountain biking will be provided on the day of!

There is a limited amount available. Please let us know if you are renting a bike on the sign-up sheet as well.

Kids Summer Fitness Classes! 

When: July 2021 – Tuesday and Thursdays @ 10:30am-11:30am (July 6th-July 29th)
Where: CrossFit TILT Southboro – 12 Southville Road
Who: Children ages 6-9 years old
Cost: $20/class
*50% discount for any additional family members

TILT’s Kids‘ Fitness Classes focus on promoting health and fitness in a positive learning environment for children ages 6-9. We incorporate a variety of games, activities, and fitness challenges to help encourage social interactions and a fun environment. Our sessions are for children of all levels and fitness backgrounds!

Summer Schedule Changes
Starting on July 9th, we will be removing our Saturday 8:00am classes and Friday 6:30pm classes starting.
Tie Dye Event! 
What: Come take a Saturday class and stick around to tie dye TILT shirts!
We will have your shirt ready at the gym the day of the event.
When: Saturday July 31st @ 8:00am-11:30am (tie dye anytime between these hours!)
Cost: $20 (white TILT shirt + tie dye supplies provided)
