Find out more about Shonda below..

1. When and how did you get started with CrossFit?
Emily would ask me to come with her to CrossFit but I was in the middle of marathon training and honestly, I didn’t think I would enjoy it. I had always been a runner & never saw myself as a ‘CrossFitter’. Ever. After my spring marathon, I was burnt out from running so I decided to give it a try. In June 2017, I came to Bring a Friend day with Emily & have been hooked ever since.

2. If you could only do one CrossFit movement for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Power Cleans

3. Favorite workout/least favorite workout?
Favorite workout – Clovis is definitely one of my favorites. I enjoy the longer endurance workouts – 30+ minutes.
Least favorite – Double unders, wall balls & OH squats

4. What’s your favorite cheat food?
If I could eat anything, it would definitely be Mexican food!

5. What superpower would you want to possess?
I would love to not need to sleep & never get tired.

6. What is your favorite genre of music? Favorite song?
Definitely 90s hip hop. It is hard to pick one favorite song. I would say favorite artists are Snoop, Eminem, Justin Timberlake & Wu-Tang.

7. What is something that people might not know about you?
I am originally from a very small town in Texas & graduated Texas A&M. After college, I lived in Italy for two years. I taught English in a language school & worked as a tour guide for an American bicycle company, Ciclismo Classico. I also raced on an Italian women’s cycling team. I moved back to the States in 2003 to work in Ciclismo Classico’s home office which is based in Arlington, MA. To this day, my mom still tries to get me to move back to Texas!
