Congrats to our May Member of the Month, Dale! Find out more about Dale below…

1. How did you get started with CrossFit?
I started Crossfit about 18 months ago.  My daughter, Chantal, was part owner of CFF in Framingham and she convinced me to try it.  Once I started I knew that this was for me.  I love how every day you have a different workout, it constantly keeps your body guessing at what your throwing at it.

2.What is your favorite workout/least favorite workout?
I love workouts like MURPH, as these workouts are more suited to my strengths.  My least favorite workout would be any workout with the  “Snatch” movement or “Double Unders.  as this is my weakest movement. I’ve been working on double unders for a long time and I still have trouble with them.  I suppose I will get them some day.

3. If you could go anywhere in the world for a vacation, where would you go?
I would go to Hawaii.  My wife and I went there about 10 years ago and it is so beautiful there.  It’s worth the long flight!!!  The scenery, beaches and weather are the best!!!  We took a helicopter ride on the island that took us into a dormant volcano, then they took us along the beach where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean and then through the fields where Jurassic Park was filmed.

4. What’s the best part about working out with the 630am crew?
I love the people and the comradery.  I look forward to seeing this group of people everyday because we not only have a similar interest in Crossfit and staying in shape, but, we do really care about each other and what takes place outside of Crossfit.  It’s also the great coaching we get from Brian and Erin. You guys are the best!!

5. What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?
I love to go away on vacation with my family.   I can never get enough of my kids and know my grandchildren.  It’s such a rewarding and great experience to see your kids grow up into wonderful parents and for them to experience the joy of parenthood.  It’s also great to just spend time with the family and catch up on everything in life.

6. Tell us 3 things that we may not know about you…
I love to golf, I used to bartend in my younger years at a local golf course and I would get to play 3-4 times a week.  I love to cook,  I typically will cook most of the meals for the family and it brings me joy to see people really enjoy the food you just prepared for them.  I used to live in Florida when I was younger and I ran a health club in Fort Lauderdale.  I’ve always been involved in fitness to some degree, as my wife and I were longtime members at a local health club and always incorporated fitness into our life’s..
