At the end of the month, all members who attend 20+ classes will be put into a drawing for a $25 credit off their following monthly membership. Get to know a little bit about Jenn..
1) How did you get started with CrossFit?
I was your typical college senior in 2015- running to class or to work, never getting enough sleep and drinking way too many redbull vodkas too many times a week. It was right after graduation that after a night out one of my friends was in an accident and needed surgery (she’s totally ok today!). Her accident had a silver lining because it made us both reevaluate where we were headed and what we needed to change to have a healthier lifestyle and not continue the way we were going. I knew I wanted to focus more on fitness but knew that running on the treadmill at Planet Fitness is not what I wanted to do. Johnny was trying to get me into Crossfit ever since he started the year before and once I talked to him more about it that summer I finally decided to join. Like everyone I was super intimated at first but once I started I was hooked! I absolutely love all the milestones that have occurred and the progress I’m making. And of course love the community that we have!
2) If there was a Hooper workout, what would it be?
It would definitely be a workout with squats. A play on the Hero WOD Manion (7 rds- 400m run, 29 back squats- 135/95) I would switch it to be rowing since running is my kryptonite. Also turning 25 this year so we’ll bring it down to 25 reps!

3) What does a day in the life of Jenn consist of?
My alarm goes off at 5:45– from there I hit snooze a few times and then finally get out of bed and get ready for work, since the challenge I pack up what seems like 15 Tupperware containers to get me through the day and then I’m off to work for 8am. I spend my day as an allocation analyst for Rockport- I place orders, ship shoes, analyze the business etc. After all that it’s time to workout! I used to always go to the 6:30pm class but my office recently moved to Newton and I’m now able to get to the 5:30pm. Love the people in both classes so it’s a win win no matter what time I go. After class its dinner and catching up on what’s recorded on my DVR and my new Netflix addiction of Shameless.
4) Your go-to song comes on during a workout… what is it?
Danza Kuduro by Don Omar is just truly great, but anything that has a great beat and is fun and energizing and can get me through a tough WOD I’m all for it!
5) Would you rather… win $1 billion dollars, or be able to fly?
No shame I would totally take the $1 billion dollars. Heights aren’t my thing.
6) What is something that we do not know about you? Give us something good. An unknown secret.
This isn’t very juicy but I absolutely love to bake- when cupcakes were super trendy I definitely wanted to own my own cupcake shop. I can’t wait to be able to start baking paleo treats once the challenge is over!
