“CrossFit changed my entire life and I feel compelled to share it with as many people as I can.”
In 2017 – I stood in my living room watching the Crossfit games having never heard of the sport before. I was in awe of these incredibly strong, capable and amazing athletes on the screen and I looked over at my husband and said, “I’m going to do that. I am going to do Crossfit.”
We both chuckled – but I was completely serious. I was in need of something more – my health and wellness was a constant yo-yo or fad diet. I was tired of doing workout tapes in my living room – alone. I had no clue what Olympic lifting entailed or how to hang off the rig – I knew it would be challenging, uncomfortable and something brand new.
A few weeks later I signed up for elements – and hit the ground running. I was constantly excited and hungry to learn more with every class I attended. It became clear that my passion couldn’t be contained and I wanted nothing more than to help, teach and coach others. I’m happy to report – that feeling of constant excitement and hunger has not faded – almost five years later.
As a mom and military spouse – I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful for the balance and strength that CrossFit has brought to our families life – both inside the gym and out.
